Job Summary

The Patient Access Representative is a vital member of our healthcare team, responsible for ensuring seamless patient registration, scheduling, and customer service experiences. As a key point of contact, you will be the first point of interaction for patients, families, and visitors, providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere that sets the tone for their healthcare journey.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately and efficiently register patients, collect demographic and insurance information, and verify patient identities
  • Schedule appointments, manage waitlists, and coordinate with healthcare providers to ensure timely and effective care
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to patient inquiries, and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner
  • Process preauthorization requests, collect copays and account balance payments, and manage patient accounts
  • Scan documents into electronic medical records, maintain accurate and up-to-date records, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure smooth operations, provide administrative support, and contribute to a positive and productive work environment
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
  • BLS Certification and CPR Certification (based on department requirements)
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and maintain accuracy and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records systems and Microsoft Office applications
