Job Summary

The Benefits Associate will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with COBRA and State Continuation regulations. This position requires strong analytical and technical skills to deliver high-quality benefit continuation programs. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills and be able to maintain confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support in the administration of COBRA and State Continuation coverage;
  • Assist in the creation of election notice documents and personalized notices for qualified beneficiaries;
  • Determine methods of delivery and communication of COBRA and State Continuation documents;
  • Assist in resolving billing and eligibility discrepancies and disputes relevant to COBRA coverage;
  • Prepare and implement program management reports;
  • Work with the Benefits Department and other departments to ensure compliance with Department of Labor regulations;
  • Provide customer service support to internal and external customers;
  • Process COBRA and State Continuation documents in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 2 years of COBRA and State Continuation administration experience;
  • High School/GED required; Bachelor's Degree preferred;
  • Excellent communication and organization skills;
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment;
  • Ability to manage complex projects simultaneously while working under pressure;
  • Strong analytical skills and knowledge of COBRA and State Continuation administration;
  • Knowledge of Department of Labor regulations and best practices;
  • Proficient reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills;
  • Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and internal databases;
  • Valid driver's license.
