Job Title: Electronic Systems Technician

Company: M.C. Dean, Inc.

In this position, you will oversee the setup and upkeep of electronic security systems, which includes executing preventive maintenance, conducting inspections, performing evaluations, and managing inventory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading teams on small to moderately complex installation projects
  • Conducting and documenting daily toolbox talks
  • Installing head end equipment at local and global levels as per design packages
  • Programming head end equipment for Access Control, Intrusion Detection, and CCTV systems
  • Troubleshooting and isolating systems and hardware locally and globally
  • Providing on-site software commissioning and testing

Position/Candidate Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Acceptable driving record needed
  • Ability to pass a customer background check

Education Requirements:

  • HS diploma or GED
  • Military Electronics Training or equivalent
  • Graduation from an accredited Electronics Technician program
  • Graduation from an Electrical Apprenticeship program
  • Additional 3 years of electronics installation/maintenance experience

Experience:

  • 8-10 years in electronics installation/maintenance
  • Focus on electronic security systems for 3 years
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Time management and organization abilities
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Willingness to travel domestically up to 25-50% of the time

Desired Qualifications:

  • Vendor certifications in IDS, ACS, and CCTV systems
  • Experience with various security system installations
  • Lenel OnGuard Security System certification

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift at least 100 pounds
  • Relocate a 12-foot stepladder without assistance
  • Work at heights up to 60 feet and climb various structures
  • Perform physical tasks routinely and repetitively
  • Good vision, ability to see in color, and effective communication skills
