Position Overview:

Eaton's Critical Power Solutions Division is seeking a dedicated Service Operations Technician. This role is vital in ensuring the reliability of Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems, batteries, and electronic-based products designed for critical applications.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Service Operations Technician, you will:
  • Conduct on-site emergency repairs and preventative maintenance in a dynamic on-call environment.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to customers regarding operational and maintenance aspects of system equipment.
  • Engage with a variety of products, including UPS systems and power distribution units.

Qualifications:

Basic Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • At least two (2) years of experience in Power Systems, Battery technologies, or Electronics.
  • Valid and unrestricted State Driver's license.
  • Ability to pass customer entrance requirements, including background checks and drug screenings.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
  • Willingness to reside within the designated service area.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate's Degree in Electrical, Electronics, or a related field.
  • Three (3) years of experience in Power Systems, Battery Technologies, or Electronics.
  • Ability to interpret schematic drawings and apply troubleshooting techniques.
  • Electrical Technology Certificate from an accredited institution.

Skills and Attributes:
  • Collaborative team player with the ability to follow directions from lead technicians.
  • Physical capability to perform tasks such as lifting, climbing, and driving.
  • Strong understanding of electrical circuit theory and electronic systems.
  • Proficient in using diagnostic tools and safety equipment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows, Office, and Outlook.
