Position Overview:

Geosyntec Consultants is actively seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to enhance our expanding Geotechnical and Infrastructure Practice. This role is integral to our operations, where our geotechnical experts address a diverse range of intricate projects across various sectors. Responsibilities include managing projects related to infrastructure improvements, slope stabilization, transportation design, and environmental restoration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with geotechnical engineers and engineering geologists to deliver exceptional service to our clients.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including the preparation of proposals and budget estimates.
  • Conduct comprehensive geotechnical analyses, including slope stability, seismic assessments, and foundation design.
  • Lead the preparation of detailed geotechnical reports, working with specialized teams to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Manage project timelines, scopes, and financial performance, ensuring profitability and timely invoicing.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers, fostering their professional development.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including clients and contractors, to communicate project objectives and recommendations.
  • Oversee construction oversight programs to guarantee project success.
  • Engage in continuous professional development in geotechnical engineering and project management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil or geological engineering or a related discipline (required).
  • Advanced degree in civil or geological engineering or a related discipline (preferred).
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license (required).

Experience and Skills:

  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in geotechnical engineering or a related field (required).
  • At least 3 years of experience in project management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel for project needs, primarily within the region.
  • Valid U.S. driver's license with a clean driving record (required).
