We are currently looking for a Junior Geotechnical Engineer to become a vital part of our team. The ideal candidate will possess EIT certification or demonstrate the capability to obtain it.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct fieldwork for the classification of soils and rock through test pits and borings.
  • Perform infiltration testing to assess soil drainage capabilities.
  • Oversee earthwork operations during construction phases.
  • Inspect deep foundation elements, soil nail walls, and other structural components during construction.
  • Carry out laboratory testing on soil samples to determine their properties.
  • Prepare detailed logs for test pits and borings.
  • Compile and present both verbal and written reports under the guidance of senior staff.
  • Learn to analyze geotechnical data and execute engineering calculations.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
  • 0 to 3 years of experience in the field of geotechnical engineering.
  • EIT certification or the ability to secure it.
  • A strong desire to learn and advance in your professional career.

Technical Skills:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills essential for collaborative work.
  • Fundamental knowledge of soils, geology, groundwater, and soil mechanics.
  • Strong mathematical and scientific skills with the ability to comprehend engineering calculations.
  • A willingness to learn geotechnical engineering software.

Additional Qualities:

  • Possession of a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass a background check for eligibility to work on various projects.
