Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Credit Manager in overseeing the daily management of overdue accounts receivable and credit operations.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of Credit / AR department protocols to address issues in the absence of the AR Manager.
  • Collaborate with the Credit Manager to meet established objectives for accounts receivable, cash collections, and outstanding client balances.
  • Manage the aging report through regular communication with overdue customers via phone and email.
  • Supervise the credit memo and dispute resolution process by coordinating with sales and billing clerks to gather necessary information and draft memorandums promptly.
  • Support the Credit Manager with aging clean-up tasks in preparation for monthly closing schedules.
  • Oversee clerical functions related to credit application processing, remote bank deposits, and cash posting.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Management, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on AR/Credit/Collections.
  • Experience in the construction, concrete, or manufacturing sectors is highly preferred.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving month-end goals and meeting deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (preferably Microsoft Dynamics).
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Strong relationship-building abilities along with exceptional customer service and team collaboration skills.
