Position Overview:
As a Lead EEG/EMG Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting a range of standard and advanced electroencephalographic assessments, including evoked potentials and nerve conduction studies, with minimal supervision. Your expertise will contribute to the accurate diagnosis and treatment of patients.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Perform Nerve Conduction Studies:
- Gather pertinent information for the patient's clinical documentation and enhance data collection through patient interaction.
- Analyze and compare results against laboratory standards for physician review, discussing the necessity for additional studies as required.
- Support the physician during needle examinations by providing essential equipment and accurately recording outcomes.

2. Conduct EEG Procedures:
- Prepare and calibrate EEG instruments, applying electrodes to predetermined sites on the patient's scalp, ensuring precision and reliability.
- Execute operative EEG monitoring in the operating room during relevant surgical procedures, maintaining equipment functionality and cleanliness.

3. Equipment Maintenance:
- Ensure all testing equipment is in optimal working condition, addressing minor malfunctions and performing routine maintenance.
- Maintain a clean and organized testing environment, including changing bedding and monitoring supplies.

Qualifications:
- High School diploma required.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as an EEG technician, with at least 1 year focused on supervised nerve conduction studies.

Certification:
- Board eligibility as an EMG and EEG technician is required; certification is preferred.
