Job Description:

The Intake Specialist plays a vital role in the onboarding process of potential residents at Services for the UnderServed (S:US). This position is responsible for coordinating and monitoring all activities related to resident intake, answering calls regarding Single Point of Access (SPA).

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • File Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date files and reference materials.
  • Communication: Monitor, screen, respond to, and distribute incoming communications in a timely manner.
  • Visitor Interaction: Receive and interact with incoming visitors in a professional and respectful manner.
  • Internal Liaison: Collaborate with internal staff at all levels to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  • Clients Interaction: Interact with external clients in a courteous and effective manner.
  • Documentation: Provide timely, accurate, and clear documentation according to established policies and procedures.
  • Crisis Management: Handle unexpected situations by responding effectively to challenges, deadlines, and emergencies.

Salary: $52,000.00 per year ($19.23 per hour)

Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Services or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience: CASAC-T certification is required; CASAC certification is preferred. Bilingual English/Spanish skills are also preferred.

Additional Requirements:

  • Computer skills, including word processing and spreadsheets.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • A valid New York State driver's license is a plus but not required.
