About the Role

Evidence Action is seeking a skilled Development Manager to join our External Relations team. As a key member of our fundraising team, you will drive our individual fundraising strategy and expand key revenue streams.

As a Development Manager, you will be responsible for cultivating and stewarding donors to Evidence Action, with a focus on securing gifts ranging from $10,000 to $100,000. You will also lead special projects to increase revenue, support leadership in their engagement with donors and prospects, and help shape the processes that strengthen our development efforts.

This is a remote position, with occasional travel required for conferences or team meetings. You will report to the Associate Director, Philanthropy, and may have supervisory responsibilities in the future depending on team needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cultivate and steward donors to Evidence Action, with a focus on securing gifts ranging from $10,000 to $100,000.
  • Lead special projects to increase revenue, support leadership in their engagement with donors and prospects, and help shape the processes that strengthen our development efforts.
  • Develop and execute individualized donor engagement strategies to retain and grow giving in the portfolio, achieving annual revenue goals.
  • Prepare senior management for engagement with donors and prospects.
  • Create compelling communications, including proposals, impact reports, acknowledgements, presentations, and other materials.
Requirements
  • 5-7 years' experience with fundraising, communications, or business development, including 3 years of progressive experience with direct fundraising and donor relationship management responsibilities.
  • A track record of activating donors and closing of 5-figure gifts.
  • Experience communicating with high-value donors and prospects, with the highest standards of excellence for written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to manage complex projects through their life cycles, iterate in real-time, and employ data for decision-making.
  • Experience with CRM systems, especially Salesforce.
