Position Summary

The Logistics Operations Analyst is responsible for managing load tracking, yard operations, and daily trailer activities for shipments originating from the West Coast.

In this capacity, the Analyst will work closely with the internal Shipping department, Distribution Center (DC) management, linehaul carriers, and pool teams to ensure efficient delivery to the designated pool point from our West Coast Distribution Centers. They will proactively address any challenges with their supervisor to avert transit delays and assist the DCs in resolving any issues related to Bills of Lading (BOLs) or loads.

Moreover, the Analyst will be tasked with producing daily reports for the Outbound team and internal DC partners, ensuring the accuracy and consistency of information shared among all stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Regularly updates the in-transit visibility system with the latest trailer status, location, and estimated time of arrival (ETA) for West Coast shipments.
  • Collaborates with local carrier dispatch teams to maintain appropriate equipment pools.
  • Utilizes data and reporting to prioritize unloading at pool points and enforce FIFO compliance.
  • Proactively addresses in-transit exceptions and implements exception resolution protocols.
  • Analyzes data insights to identify network bottlenecks and develop strategies for mitigation.
  • Assists with various projects and priorities for the Outbound Team in conjunction with the Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Business, or a related field, with 3-5 years of experience in Logistics or Transportation preferred.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in Logistics, Transportation, or Supply Chain-related roles.
  • Familiarity with invoice resolution in logistics operations.
  • Understanding of transportation procedures, definitions, and processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools for data analysis and reporting.
  • Confident in managing business conflicts and facilitating resolutions among key stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly motivated and results-driven team player.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
