Position Available: Logistics Supervisor at FullSteam

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Logistics Supervisor to oversee operations within our large-scale food distribution facility.

Shift: TBD

Compensation: $66,560K

Role Purpose: The primary responsibility of this position is to ensure effective daily supervision and administrative oversight for dispatch operations, while also engaging in general dispatch tasks to enhance departmental support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and direction for the location, managing workflow and task execution while integrating all functions at the site.
  • Serve as the first line of supervision for designated dispatch personnel.
  • Monitor and verify the accuracy of entries into the TMW TruckMate system, ensuring proper filing and maintenance of related paperwork.
  • Handle emergency and non-emergency requests for assistance, dispatching the appropriate units and maintaining communication to gather and relay information.
  • Assist with all dispatch-related inquiries and issues.
  • Cover shifts or personnel as needed due to unforeseen circumstances.
  • Maintain ongoing communication and coordination between Dispatch and all transportation needs, including management and, when necessary, customers.
  • Perform additional support functions as requested by management.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience in coaching, counseling, and conflict resolution.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management capabilities.
  • Ability to manage stress effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and related software.
  • Knowledge of Transportation Management Systems (TMS) related to load processing, quote requests, and shipment tracking.
  • Preferred experience with TruckMate, PC Miler, Fleetmatics, RoadNet, or similar systems.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to extract, compile, and analyze data.
  • Proficient in English grammar, spelling, punctuation, and basic mathematical functions.
  • Advanced knowledge of departmental functions.
  • Ability to identify errors, determine causes, and implement corrections.
  • Interpersonal skills necessary for developing and maintaining effective working relationships.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; bilingual is a plus.
  • Ability to lead and manage a diverse workforce.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. with advanced coursework in data processing or a related field.
  • Two to four years of relevant experience.
  • A combination of education and experience may be considered if the candidate demonstrates the necessary knowledge and skills.
  • Understanding of DOT regulations, vehicle weight capacity, and load specifications.

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands of this role include the ability to lift up to 30 pounds, work in various positions for extended periods, climb stairs, and navigate all areas of a warehouse environment, including exposure to varying temperatures.
