Overview

The Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) is seeking a qualified individual to fill the role of Supervisory Security Analysis Manager within our Adjudications and Vetting Services (AVS) division. This position involves overseeing a team of analysts responsible for evaluating international security risks, including potential criminal activities, espionage, and terrorism, to support personnel security evaluations and fitness assessments. Join us in safeguarding national interests.

Position Highlights

This role is situated within the Expedited Screening Center (ESC) of the DCSA. The ESC is dedicated to a streamlined process for the vetting of individuals requiring access to sensitive government systems and information.

The incumbent will be responsible for:
  • Conducting thorough assessments of foreign influence and preference concerns during security clearance evaluations.
  • Reviewing and interpreting data related to international threats and insider risks, providing informed risk assessments for personnel security decisions.
  • Ensuring the quality and relevance of risk assessments prepared by the ESC team.
  • Leading a team of analysts in the research and synthesis of classified and unclassified information pertinent to national security.

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will engage in various duties, including but not limited to:
  • Supervising the analysis of potential threats to national security.
  • Identifying and addressing vulnerabilities that may impact personnel and operations.
  • Implementing effective risk management strategies.
  • Ensuring compliance with established security protocols and standards.

Qualifications

Applicants must possess relevant experience in intelligence analysis, counterintelligence, or related fields. A proven track record in utilizing both classified and unclassified databases for threat assessment is essential. Candidates should demonstrate strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate findings effectively.

Additional Information

This position is eligible for telework, although regular office attendance is required. The role may involve occasional overtime and requires the ability to obtain and maintain appropriate security clearance.
