Your Responsibilities:

As an Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE), you will:

  • Serve as a security engineering representative on teams focused on the design, development, implementation, and integration of secure networking and computing environments.
  • Apply your expertise in Information Assurance (IA) policies and procedures to create secure networking and computing environments.
  • Engage with customers and project team members to ensure security requirements are met.
  • Support the Government in establishing trusted relationships among external systems and architectures.
  • Conduct security planning, assessments, risk analysis, and management.
  • Identify security requirements for the proper handling of sensitive data.
  • Perform system or network designs that accommodate multiple enclaves with varying data protection needs.
  • Recommend solutions to meet security requirements.
  • Participate in OCONUS travel for site surveys, installations, upgrades, and optimizations as necessary.

Qualifications:

A Bachelor's Degree in a related field with 14 years of experience, or a Master's degree with 12 years of experience is required. An additional 4 years of experience may substitute for the Bachelor's degree.

Experience in supporting remote SIGINT collection efforts, including:

  • Assessment of performance through raw signal analysis
  • Operation of various GOTS and COTS tools
  • Ensuring data quality and delivery to intended endpoints
  • Testing and measurement of RF signals
  • Designing and building field sensor devices for challenging environments
  • Deployment and optimization of sensor systems

Desired Expertise:

The ideal candidate will be recognized as an expert resource, providing guidance and informal training to junior engineers.


Clearance Requirement:

TS/SCI with Polygraph.
