We are seeking a skilled CNC Technician to join our team, tasked with programming and operating CNC machinery for various metalworking processes. The CNC equipment is utilized for cutting, drilling, grinding, and shaping operations on machines such as lathes and mills.

Qualifications and Training

• Site-specific qualifications and advancement opportunities available; consult with local management.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a CNC Operator or a Technical Degree.

Key Responsibilities

• Work the 2nd shift;

• Adhere to all safety protocols;

• Program CNC machines, monitor operations, and ensure compliance by adjusting settings, tool registers, and offsets;

• Provide training to others on machine setup and operation;

• Operate multiple machines simultaneously as needed;

• Maintain and adjust machinery according to specifications, troubleshoot issues, and ensure quality standards;

• Troubleshoot programs and conduct routine maintenance;

• Interpret blueprints to determine processes and tooling instructions;

• Report issues and collaborate with QA and Engineering for solutions, maintaining accurate records;

• Identify and report defective materials or conditions to management;

• Utilize precision instruments such as micrometers to meet product specifications.

Experience and Skills

Required:

• Experience in a Lean manufacturing environment;

• Proficiency in using precision tools and instruments;

• Basic computer skills;

• Mechanical and technical aptitude.

Preferred:

• Familiarity with programming software such as NX;

• Knowledge of Quality Management Systems like ISO 9001;

• Understanding of CNC programming code;

• Ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, and inspection documents.

Additional Requirements

• Physical strength - Capability to lift 35lbs and work in confined spaces;

• Mobility - Ability to stand for extended periods, frequent movement, and climbing;

• Teamwork - Collaborate effectively to meet production goals;

• Safety Focus - Commitment to safety protocols and use of appropriate equipment.
