About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team at Academy360, a program of Spectrum360, a New Jersey-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. As a Special Education Teacher, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality educational and therapeutic programs to students with Autism and related disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and execute classroom instruction to meet the educational needs of students with Autism and related disabilities.
  • Collaborate with a team of related services specialists to foster students' personal growth in cognitive, social/emotional, and language skills.
  • Implement and follow Individual Education Plans (IEPs), Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), and Positive Behavior Supports (PBS).
Qualifications
  • NJ State License TSWD (Teacher of Students with Disabilities) or TOH (Teacher of the Handicapped) required.
  • Experience with Applied Behavior Analysis preferred.
  • Creativity, ambition, and leadership skills essential.
  • Ability to work within a team and manage a team of paraprofessionals.
