As a vital member of the Kingston Strategy Project, you will be responsible for gathering signatures to ensure our candidates are placed on the ballot. Your contributions will significantly influence the electoral process and aid in the success of our campaign. This temporary role is crucial during the lead-up to the election.
Kingston Strategy is looking for dedicated individuals for petition gathering in Boston, Massachusetts. This position is ideal for seasoned community leaders seeking to advance their careers and gain further experience. Responsibilities may include establishing and overseeing petition signing stations, organizing necessary materials for signature collection, and maintaining accurate records of signatures collected, including names and contact details. Familiarity with local election laws and regulations is essential to ensure all signatures meet the required criteria.
The ideal candidate possesses:
- Attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently
- Experience in petition gathering (minimum of two projects)
- Knowledge of petition laws
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Project Manager to exceed on-the-ground metrics.
- Work with the Petition Manager to engage progressive communities.
- Participate in training sessions and staff meetings.
- Conduct community outreach.
- Punctuality at work sites is essential.
Required Qualifications:
- Ability to read and write.
- Reliable transportation to work sites.
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED.
- Availability to work as scheduled.
- Capability to walk for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications (Not Mandatory):
- Experience in petition gathering.
- Strong understanding of field targeting and metrics.
- Familiarity with Boston, MA demographics and local issues.
Compensation: $22/hour
