About the Role

The Facilities Operations Manager is a critical position at LCMC Health, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities. This role requires a high level of expertise in maintenance, repair, and management of building systems, as well as strong leadership and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Assist the Director in overseeing the Facilities Management Department, providing guidance and direction to team members.
    • Develop and implement departmental procedures to ensure a safe, secure, and comfortable environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
  • Maintenance and Repair
    • Develop and maintain preventative maintenance programs to ensure maximum time of service from buildings and equipment.
    • Approve work orders for maintenance purposes and oversee the servicing of mechanical equipment systems.
  • Budgeting and Procurement
    • Research and obtain pricing from vendors to ensure the best value for services, equipment, and supplies.
    • Work with the Director to develop and manage the department's budget.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Interact with personnel to resolve safety issues, disputes, and disciplinary actions.
    • Collaborate with outside consultants and contractors for design, construction, and engineering services.
Requirements
  • Education
    • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree in General Engineering, Industrial Technology, or Electrical Engineering preferred.
  • Licenses and Certifications
    • Louisiana State Driver's License required.
    • CHFM, CHSP, or Licensed Tradesman certification preferred.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance, and repair.
    • Ability to make decisions regarding risk assessments and utility inventory.
    • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
