This role includes the meticulous cleaning of offices, classrooms, and communal restrooms, as well as executing daily scheduled tasks and occasional maintenance duties as assigned by the Facilities Services Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform lifting and transporting of equipment and supplies weighing up to 45 lbs, navigating stairs and different areas of the facility.
  • Climb ladders up to 6 feet and manage multiple flights of stairs as needed.
  • Utilize commercial cleaning equipment such as rotary buffers, vacuum cleaners, pressure washers, and extractors effectively.
  • Comprehend and execute verbal and written instructions, including simple diagrams.
  • Work independently and collaboratively on assigned tasks.
  • Be available for late evening, overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts as required.
  • Exhibit strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrate basic computer skills.
  • Effectively use two-way radios for communication.
  • No prior experience or specialized training is necessary, although previous custodial experience is beneficial.
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Essential Personnel: This position is classified as essential, which may require the employee to report for duty during emergencies and be designated by the supervisor for critical tasks.
