Job Summary

To provide sub-journeyman work in the performance of a variety of maintenance and repair tasks on one or more areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform maintenance and repair work on heating and air conditioning equipment.
  • Conduct daily inspections of assigned areas and make repairs where necessary.
  • Perform preventative maintenance for life safety and security devices.
  • Perform emergency mechanical repairs until journeyman or supervisory personnel arrive.
  • Respond to storm and weather-related needs for campus.
Requirements
  • Two years of experience in performing a variety of sub-journeyman maintenance and repair tasks or the equivalent experience.
  • A Texas Class C driver's license.
  • Ability to effectively execute oral and written instruction.
Preferred Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Three plus years of experience in performing a variety of sub-journeyman maintenance and repair tasks.
Working Conditions

Uniforms and/or personal protection equipment (furnished). May work in extreme temperatures. May work around chemical fumes. May work around standard office conditions. May work around biohazards. May work around chemicals. May work around electrical and mechanical hazards. Use of manual dexterity.
