**Overview:**
Salem Media Group is a leading media company seeking an experienced Media Strategist to join our team in Denver. This role offers an exceptional opportunity for sales professionals looking to grow their skills and contribute to our growing on-air and digital sales goals.
The ideal candidate will sell and manage multi-media marketing solutions, including radio, digital, and event sales, to local small and medium-sized businesses. Success is measured by reaching monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals while developing new business opportunities that meet and exceed client expectations.
Main Responsibilities:
- Pursue local and regional business opportunities, connecting with decision-makers to set meetings, analyze client needs, and deliver compelling strategic advertising presentations.
- Stay up-to-date on local digital marketing trends and identify new opportunities for growth.
- Develop and present strategic marketing proposals for key accounts and new business clients.
- Accurately forecast revenue and meet/exceed monthly budgets for all product lines while exceeding annual targets.
Requirements:
- A proven track record of exceeding sales goals in both on-air and online media environments.
- Demonstrated knowledge of digital products and how they are positioned and sold in the market.
- Familiarity with selling Search Engine Marketing (SEM), Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Target Display, OTT/CTV, social media, Email Marketing, Chat, Website Development, and other related services.
- Ability to understand categories of businesses to prospect and tailor sales approaches accordingly.
- History of conducting in-depth needs analysis to uncover client needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively present multi-varied solutions to diverse groups.
- Proven ability to develop business marketing strategies for local and regional clients.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a diverse range of clients.
