Position Overview:

Fairview Health Services is seeking a dedicated LPN to join our dynamic team within the Colon & Rectal Surgery Department. This role is situated in a collaborative environment that emphasizes growth and learning opportunities in outpatient surgical care. The position offers a favorable daytime schedule, ensuring a healthy work-life balance with no evening, weekend, or holiday shifts.

Work Schedule:
Clinic hours are from 7 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday. This role is structured as a 0.8 FTE (64 hours per two-week pay period) and is eligible for a comprehensive benefits package.

Key Responsibilities:
The LPN will perform a variety of nursing and medical tasks, focusing on patient care and data collection for an assigned group of patients. Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting patient assessments and collecting relevant data in collaboration with the healthcare team.
  • Reporting any significant changes in patient conditions to the supervising RN or physician promptly.
  • Delivering care as delegated, adhering to the established plan of care.
  • Prioritizing tasks based on patient needs and available resources.
  • Executing both high and low-risk technical procedures, including medication administration.
  • Implementing patient education plans and ensuring continuity of care.
  • Responding effectively to emergencies and communicating clearly with all healthcare team members.

Qualifications:
Required:

  • Completion of Vocational/Technical Training or an Associate's Degree.
  • Current LPN License in Minnesota.
Preferred:
  • One to three years of relevant experience.
  • Previous experience in an ambulatory care setting.
  • Current BLS Certification.
