POSITION SUMMARY

The Assistant Property Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the Community Property Manager by being attuned to the unique needs and challenges faced by residents. This position demands effective communication skills to engage with diverse populations and the flexibility to work varied hours. Previous experience in property management is essential.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Facilitating the turnover of apartments and ensuring they are ready for new tenants, assisting in the preparation of eviction processes as needed.
  • Supervising maintenance personnel and coordinating the fulfillment of maintenance requests from residents.
  • Maintaining organized records of work orders and other documentation.
  • Overseeing security operations, documenting incidents, and addressing issues as they arise.
  • Collaborating with the Property Manager to address resident complaints and reported incidents, including conducting investigations and maintaining records.
  • Coordinating with the Property Manager to ensure the security of the premises.
  • Ensuring compliance and safety in the property and parking areas.
  • Performing additional tasks as assigned.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • At least 2 years of experience in property management, including supervisory responsibilities.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate's Degree in Property Management or a related field.
  • Familiarity with Housing Authority procedures and documentation is advantageous.
  • Possession of a valid California driver's license with a clean driving record.
