How You'll Contribute

Our Manufacturing Department is essential in transforming raw materials into finished products that meet stringent tolerances. Team members play a critical role in ensuring timely production that aligns with customer specifications. Collaborating with various departments such as Quality, Engineering, and Operations, our Manufacturing team is dedicated to delivering high-quality outcomes.

Responsibilities of a Material Processing Technician:

  • Engage in a full-time, onsite role at our Fife, Washington facility.
  • Standard working hours are Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm, with potential for other shifts.
  • Interpret production schedules to determine necessary materials for operations, ensuring compliance with quality standards (grade, size, moisture content, etc.).
  • Execute setups according to precise specifications.
  • Feed materials as per established guidelines.
  • Regularly inspect equipment to confirm adherence to specifications.
  • Offload and organize materials following established protocols, including covering, labeling, and banding products as needed.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace, ensuring equipment is safe for operation.
  • Complete pre-shift equipment inspections and report any issues or concerns.
  • Keep the work environment tidy and orderly.
  • Document production records as required.
  • Verify materials and finished products for compliance with established standards.
  • Adhere to safety and quality procedures, rules, and standards.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Availability for a full-time position with set shift hours.
  • Ability to work independently, follow instructions, and maintain focus for extended periods.
  • Positive work attitude and punctuality.
  • Proficient in using basic measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, indicators, etc.).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Mechanically inclined with good manual dexterity.
  • Team-oriented with a proactive attitude.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least one year of experience in the manufacturing sector.

While performing the duties of this role, the employee is frequently required to:

  • Lift or move items weighing up to 50lbs.
  • Reach in various directions to maneuver equipment.

  • Access, input, and retrieve information from a computer.

Work Environment:

A significant portion of work time is spent in a machine shop where temperatures can fluctuate. The environment may include exposure to noise, dust, and fumes. Industry-standard safety equipment is provided, and specific notices are posted in areas where safety gear is required.

Compensation and Benefits:

Compensation Range for Material Processing Technician in Fife, Washington is $19.00 – $21.00 per hour, based on experience. Shift differentials may apply for certain shifts.
