Your Role and Impact:

As a Quality Assurance Inspector, you will leverage your expertise in aerospace inspection methodologies and customer requirements, contributing to a world-class manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in a full-time, onsite role.
  • Preferred working hours are Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with potential for alternative shifts.
  • Conduct inspections of aerospace components and assemblies utilizing coordinate measuring machines with PC-DMIS software.
  • Perform conventional inspections in accordance with engineering specifications using various measuring tools such as height gauges, calipers, micrometers, and bore gauges.
  • Oversee first part approvals, final inspections, first article documentation, rejection tags, and notifications for supplier non-conformance.
  • Analyze manufacturing plans, engineering documents, and drawings to ascertain product specifications per ASME Y14.5 standards.
  • Identify and resolve issues in machining processes as needed.
  • Print and adhere to inspection staging protocols.
  • Manage the procurement of materials, standards, and components.
  • Prepare and finalize first articles in compliance with AS9102.
  • Operate coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation.
  • Fulfill daily record-keeping obligations.
  • Comply with all safety regulations and policies set forth by the company and governing authorities.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Availability for a full-time position with established shift schedules.
  • Experience in inspecting aerospace components using coordinate measuring machines and PC-DMIS software.
  • Proficiency in conventional inspection techniques and the use of standard measuring instruments.
  • Experience with first part approvals, final inspections, and documentation processes.
  • Ability to interpret manufacturing plans and engineering documents according to ASME Y14.5.
  • Problem-solving skills in machining processes.
  • Capability to follow inspection staging requirements.
  • Experience in material procurement.
  • Knowledge of first article preparation per AS9102.
  • Experience operating CMMs.
  • Ability to maintain accurate documentation.
  • Commitment to safety regulations and policies.
  • Willingness to perform other assigned tasks.

Essential Skills:

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications, including software such as Catia and Enovia.
  • Strong understanding of inspection techniques, measurement principles, and trigonometry.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative team player with a positive attitude.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two years of experience as a Quality Assurance Inspector in the aerospace sector.
  • Familiarity with CMM operations, geometric tolerances, record-keeping, and precision measuring tools.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and MRP systems.

Work Environment:

Much of the work occurs in a machine shop setting, where temperatures may fluctuate. Employees may be exposed to noise, dust, and fumes. The company provides standard safety equipment, and specific safety notices are posted in relevant areas.
