The Cost Analyst will strategically oversee and coordinate the Estimating function with Quality, Materials, Engineering, Planning, Manufacturing, Financial, and Sales departments.

The Cost Analyst will possess the ability to evaluate blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to generate cost estimates for components, sub-assemblies, raw materials, labor, and external processing, contributing to the successful outcomes of the organization.


This is a Full-time position based onsite.
Preferred working hours are Monday – Friday 8am-4:30pm, with potential for alternative shifts.
Responsible for managing the cost feedback loop to ensure estimates are accurately compared to actual project costs, aiming for improved accuracy in future bids.
Utilizes drawings and specification information from customer requests for quotes to determine labor, material, and process hour and cost estimates for detailed components, assemblies, and tooling.
Coordinates with the Materials department for requests for quotes from external suppliers for parts, materials, hardware, standards, and surface processes.
Maintains historical databases for core competencies and typical products.
Prepares data for reports, presentations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Develops, modifies, and maintains policies, processes, procedures, and performance metrics related to the Estimating function.
Adheres to all workplace safety guidelines, policies, and regulations established by the company, state, and federal authorities.
Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles, quality control, production and inventory management, and AS9100 standards is essential.
A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, or a related field (or equivalent experience) is required.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and specifications, including software such as Catia and Enovia.
Knowledge of various customer RFQ document types and languages is advantageous.
Extensive understanding of diverse materials, hardware, and tooling, as well as machining, assembly, heat treatment testing, and related external processes.
Strong project management, time management, business, and financial skills are necessary.
Excellent communication and presentation abilities are required to engage with inter-departmental staff, including senior management.
Proficiency in Microsoft applications and MRP systems is expected.

Typing proficiency: 30 WPM
