Position Overview
The Timmons Group is seeking a dedicated Telecommunications Infrastructure Technician to become a part of our Telecom & MRE division.

Role Responsibilities
The Telecommunications Infrastructure Technician will collaborate with top-tier electrical and telecommunications firms to evaluate assets and conduct infrastructure assessments.

Key Duties Include:
• Collecting GPS coordinates, photographs, and attribute data pertinent to electric and telecommunications utilities in the field.
• Demonstrating comfort in outdoor environments, working independently under various conditions.
• Walking moderate distances while carrying necessary equipment.
• Engaging with property owners to explain the data collection process and its importance.
• Managing daily data files to uphold data integrity and security.
• Interpreting mapping information to determine optimal surveying strategies for project areas.
• Meeting or surpassing quality control standards set by clients.
• Performing basic maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment.
• Operating efficiently with minimal supervision.
• Responsible for the upkeep and care of the company vehicle.
• Collaborating effectively with other GIS Field Surveyors, Field Supervisors, and Project Managers to fulfill assigned tasks.

Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Preferred candidates will possess practical knowledge and experience with data conversion utilizing ArcGIS, AutoCAD, or Microstation.
• Ability to assist Technical Analysts or project managers in exploring and suggesting innovative methods, tools, or programs to enhance task efficiency.
• Strong oral and written communication skills; capable of conveying technical information and summarizing data effectively.
• The ideal candidate should be self-motivated, adaptable, detail-oriented, and enjoy interaction with both colleagues and clients while thriving in a dynamic work environment.
