As a key member of our team, you'll play a crucial role in promoting product delivery and providing outstanding customer service.

Job Overview

The Delivery Merchandiser Team Lead will be responsible for managing a team of Delivery Merchandisers, providing coaching, training, and motivation to ensure the achievement of branch revenue, profit, and growth goals. You'll also be tasked with managing DM, DMR, and DML performance, ensuring customer base goals are met, and holding drivers accountable for executing their duties and responsibilities.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and lead a team of Delivery Merchandisers, Delivery Merchandiser Reliefs, and Delivery Merchandiser Leads to promote product delivery and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Develop and implement strategies to ensure the achievement of branch revenue, profit, and growth goals.
  • Manage DM, DMR, and DML performance, including conducting regular coaching, training, and motivation sessions.
  • Hold drivers accountable for executing their duties and responsibilities, and take corrective action if necessary.
  • Lead a strong safety culture by utilizing Company safety initiatives to minimize injury, lost work time, and lost productivity.
  • Maintain adequate staffing levels to meet current and future delivery needs.
  • Conduct regular interactions with DMs, DMRs, and DMLs, including Work With, one-on-ones, and riding with them for additional training and coaching.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 2+ years of supervisory or leadership experience with strong managerial skills.
  • Valid Texas Driver's License (Class C) with a minimum of 5 years of driving experience and a clean driving record with no moving violations over the past three years.
  • No major driving convictions, including DUI/DWI, reckless driving, or at-fault fatal accidents.
  • Basic computer skills, including the ability to use computer ordering equipment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English regarding the job and safety regulations.
  • No visible tattoos or body piercings.
  • Smoke & vape-free workplace.
  • Successful completion of post-offer pre-employment background check, MVR, drug screen, and physical and physical abilities test.
