Job Summary

Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Respiratory Care Practitioner to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of respiratory care practitioners and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of respiratory care practitioners and provide guidance and support to ensure excellent patient care.
  • Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and experiences.
  • Collaborate with interprofessional teams to ensure seamless care delivery and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Provide education and training to staff on respiratory care practices and protocols.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Four years of experience as a Respiratory Care Practitioner, with two years in ICU, Neonatal, and/or ER settings.
  • Lead/supervisor experience and a strong track record of leadership and team management.
  • RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist (NBRC) certification and RCP - Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner - State Licensure.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
