Position Overview
The City of Tacoma's Information Technology Department is on the lookout for a dedicated and skilled Senior Technology Solutions Analyst. This role is pivotal in fostering innovation and enhancing operational processes within the organization. The successful candidate will engage in the development, improvement, and upkeep of the City's technology platforms, particularly focusing on the Accela Civic Platform, which serves as a comprehensive software solution for permitting and inspections. This position demands a collaborative spirit, adept multitasking abilities, and exceptional communication skills to effectively liaise with both stakeholders and team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate technical and business needs against the capabilities of the Accela system.
- Configure and maintain the Accela Civic Platform and related third-party applications.
- Conduct research and propose enhancements to boost performance, productivity, and system integrity.
- Resolve complex technical issues and provide effective solutions.
- Create and maintain documentation and technical specifications to guide development efforts.
- Design and execute custom queries to extract data from Accela for reporting purposes, primarily utilizing Crystal Reports.
- Engage in custom application development through APIs.
- Estimate project scope, timelines, and associated costs.
- Possibly oversee small technical projects, managing timelines and deliverables.
- Offer technical support to end users and mentor junior staff.
