About the Role

We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Business Intelligence Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst to join our Data & Analytics team at Sound Physicians, a national, multi-specialty medical group. The successful candidate will be responsible for testing pre-production versions of Power BI reports and dashboards to identify bugs, ensure that business and technical requirements are met, and sign-off on deliverables for production.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for Power BI reports and dashboards
  • Utilize SQL and other data validation tools to verify data accuracy and integrity within Power BI solutions
  • Collaborate with Power BI developers and business analysts to communicate defects, missed requirements, and areas for improvement
  • Participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and backlog grooming
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into test cases
  • Perform root cause analysis of defects and provide recommendations for resolution
  • Document test results, track defects, and ensure timely resolution of issues
  • Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related field
  • Proficiency in SQL for data validation and manipulation
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and data modeling principles
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and tools
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to effectively interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Self-motivated work style with the ability to prioritize and execute tasks independently
