Key Responsibilities- Teach Pharmacology to preclinical medical students, utilizing innovative methods and a student-centered approach.
- Develop and deliver high-quality educational materials, including lectures, lecture notes, learning objectives, PowerPoint slides, and exam questions.
- Participate in curriculum development and evaluation, ensuring that our programs meet the highest standards of excellence.
- Serve as a Problem-Based Learning (PBL) facilitator, guiding students through complex case studies and real-world scenarios.
- Contribute to the development of educational tools, including audiovisual aids, demonstration models, and lectures.
- Prepare and administer exams, ensuring that they are fair, valid, and reliable.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to students, helping them to achieve their academic and professional goals.
- Serve on committees, as assigned, and participate in faculty and professional development opportunities.
- Contribute to the mission of the college, embodying the principles of osteopathic medicine and promoting a culture of excellence and innovation.
- Ph.D. in Pharmacology or Pharm.D. degree from an accredited institution.
- Previous teaching experience in Pharmacology at the medical college level, with a strong desire to teach in a student-centered environment.
- Excellent organizational, communication, teaching, and decision-making skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with faculty from other disciplines.
- Strong research productivity and potential for success in obtaining extramural research funding.
- Previous experience in curriculum development and evaluation.
- Strong background in pharmacology, with expertise in areas such as pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and pharmacogenomics.
- Experience with educational technology, including learning management systems and online course platforms.
