Job SummaryWe are seeking a Part-time Primary Care Provider to join our team. As a Primary Care Provider, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, working independently to perform age-appropriate history and physicals, and maintaining accurate electronic medical records.
Key Responsibilities- Functions independently to perform age-appropriate history and physicals for health center patients
- Maintains accurate electronic medical records, completes charting responsibilities within set timeframes
- Diagnoses health conditions by administering or ordering diagnostic tests, interpreting test results
- Facilitates staff, patient, and family decision-making by providing educational tools and counseling
- Performs procedures, administers injections and immunizations, manages wounds and infections
- Prescribes appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment modalities
- Collaborates with patients and their support person(s) to develop and implement care plans
- Monitors the effectiveness of interventions, modifying treatment plans as needed
- Collaborates with multidisciplinary team members by making appropriate referrals
- Graduation from an accredited school of medicine, nursing, or physician's assistant program
- Current license to practice in Pennsylvania
- Current Board Certification
- At least two years of experience required
- Experience working with an Electronic Health Record preferred
- Must be eligible for prescriptive authority
The office and clinical areas are well-illuminated, climate-controlled, indoor areas. Work involves some exposure to hazards typical to a medical office environment, including potential exposure to infectious diseases and blood-borne pathogens, chemical exposures, fire, mechanical, and electrical hazards.
