Job Summary

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to join the HQDA Field Operating Agencies and Staff Support Agencies team as a Clinical Psychologist - Mental Health Division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing clinical assessments, treatment plans, and direct treatment for inmates with complex mental health diagnoses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement batteries of psychological instruments to assess patients
  • Provide diagnostic evaluations and individual and group counseling
  • Plan, direct, and assign work to subordinates
  • Provide emergency and on-call services
  • Direct oversight for health care related standards required for compliance with the Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) Program
Requirements
  • Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology
  • Current, active, valid, and unrestricted license as a doctoral level psychologist offered by a U.S. State, the District of Columbia, Commonwealth, territory, or jurisdiction
  • One year of specialized experience in clinical psychology, including development and implementation of batteries of psychological instruments to assess patients, providing diagnostic evaluations, and providing individual and group counseling
Working Conditions
  • Work requires the first line supervision of law enforcement officer positions classified as primary/rigorous
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment
