Position Overview

The Senior Financial Analyst will report directly to the FP&A Manager and will be instrumental in facilitating cross-departmental FP&A processes throughout the organization. This includes responsibilities such as budgeting, forecasting, ad hoc reporting, and conducting data-driven analyses to support strategic and operational decision-making.

This role is pivotal in refining processes and practices that enhance the strategic finance function by fostering key cross-departmental collaborations and identifying areas for improvement and opportunity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development of a dynamic forecasting process that is efficient, transparent, and adds value.
  • Prepare a comprehensive monthly financial reporting package for management and the Board of Directors, providing timely and insightful financial analyses to assess progress against budget and forecast across essential financial and operational metrics.
  • Oversee the organizational capital allocation model, ensuring that investments align with strategic objectives, tracking ongoing expenditures/ROI, and developing processes to enhance visibility and facilitate data-informed decision-making.
  • Act as the project lead for various ad-hoc strategic initiatives, including new product launches, cost-saving measures, and business acquisitions.
  • Collaborate with the Direct to Consumer team to standardize reporting and establish key performance indicators (KPIs).
Required Skills and Abilities
  • Strong foundational knowledge of accounting, finance, production, and operational principles.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with a focus on financial modeling and analysis.
  • Experience in the consumer products sector and manufacturing is preferred.
  • Solid background in budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, with experience managing multiple entities or other financial modeling tasks.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively across functions in both leadership and support roles.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Finance, Accounting, or Business; CPA, MAcc, MSF, or MBA is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in managing corporate financial planning and budgeting processes, delivering impactful financial reporting and analysis.
  • Prior experience with financial planning tools and ERP systems (e.g., Power BI, D365, OneStream) is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles is beneficial.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex data into meaningful insights for non-technical audiences.
  • Independent thinker capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously and organizing workload to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Analytical and strategic-minded team player with a strong work ethic.
