Job Overview

BGSF, Commercial Real Estate seeks a highly skilled Senior Property Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of our commercial properties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receives and posts receivables to tenant ledgers in YARDI, ensuring accurate and timely collections.
  • Monitors all banking activities to detect irregularities and maintains accurate records.
  • Prepares monthly bank reconciliation reports, researching and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Maintains accounts, ledgers, journals, files, reports, and other documentation for property and company accounts.
  • Produces schedules, summary reports, trial balances, income statements, and financial statements as requested.
  • Assembles information for tax packages and completes ad hoc reporting and accounting projects as necessary.
  • Reviews and calculates annual operating expense recoveries (CAM reconciliation).

Requirements:

  • 4 or more years of commercial property accounting experience.
  • Yardi experience.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
