Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of revenue postings to the ledger, confirming compliance with accounting standards.
  • Evaluate future business ventures for appropriate application of revenue recognition standards, including ASC 606.
  • Develop and implement firm policies around revenue breakage and escheatment.
  • Prepare monthly journal entries and participate in the month-end close process.
  • Reconcile and analyze general ledger accounts consistent with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Partner with the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team to reconcile expense and revenue variances to budget and prior year.
  • Reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts, specifically accounts receivable, work-in-progress, and deferred revenue subledger, on a monthly basis and document and communicate any variances.
  • Adhere to organizational procedures and policies.
  • Support the implementation and execution of key controls and processes.
  • Analyze, interpret, and understand financial data to ensure reported amounts are accurate.
  • Respond to information requests and assist with internal audits.
  • Prepare and provide financial and analytical information as required.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and procedures that impact revenue.
  • Special projects as assigned by the Accounting Manager or Controller.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in an accounting role or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook required.
  • High business ethics, team player, ambitious, smart, coachable, and great communicator.
Preferred Requirements
  • CPA certification.
  • Proficiency in Workday.
  • Experience reconciling revenue recognition.
