About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Team Advisor to join our team at Schreiber Foods. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Cost Savings Initiatives: Identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve efficiency, and develop and implement plans to achieve these goals.
  • Lead Plant Operations: Oversee the operation of the plant energy systems group, production mechanic group, electrical/electronics group, and facilities maintenance group.
  • Administer Preventive Maintenance Program: Monitor repair history and downtime records, and administer the preventive maintenance program to ensure equipment is properly maintained and running at optimal levels.
  • Coordinate Projects and Routine Efforts: Work with various plant departments to coordinate projects and routine efforts, ensuring that all tasks are completed on time and within budget.
  • Define Required Resources and Establish Action Plans: Determine the resources needed to complete projects and establish action plans to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Prepare Data and Calculations for Expenditure Estimates: Gather and analyze data to prepare expenditure estimates for projects and initiatives.
  • Prepare and Administer Labor Budget and Repairs and Supplies Budget: Prepare and administer the labor budget and repairs and supplies budget for energy systems, electrical and facilities maintenance, and administer utilities budget.
  • Make Recommendations for Equipment Placement and Modifications: Provide recommendations for equipment placement and modifications to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Coordinate Installation of New Equipment and Renovation of Existing Equipment: Work with various departments to coordinate the installation of new equipment and renovation of existing equipment.
  • Coordinate Training and Development Programs: Develop and implement training and development programs to improve the skills and knowledge of maintenance team members.
  • Coordinate Process Development and Engineering Design: Work with Corporate Engineering to develop and implement process development and engineering design initiatives.
  • Participate in Systems Analysis, Automation Feasibility, and Justification Studies: Participate in systems analysis, automation feasibility, and justification studies to identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Produce Working Drawings of Equipment and Floor Plans: Create working drawings of equipment and floor plans to ensure that all equipment is properly installed and maintained.
  • Investigate New Technology in Production Methods: Research and investigate new technology in production methods to identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Develop and Administer Energy Conservation Programs: Develop and implement energy conservation programs to reduce energy consumption and costs.
  • Ensure Compliance with Food Safety and Food Quality Plans: Work with the leadership team to ensure compliance with food safety and food quality plans, and interpret and communicate customer requirements to plant production and/or support groups.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Food/Dairy, Science, Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, or Related Field: A bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred, but an associate's degree in a technical field will be considered.
  • 3 Years of Experience in Industrial Work: A minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial work is required.
  • General Computer Skills and Mechanical Aptitude: Strong general computer skills and mechanical aptitude are required.
  • Interpersonal Skills to Work from a Supplier-Oriented Function: Excellent interpersonal skills to work from a supplier-oriented function are required.
  • Ability to Travel Up to 5%: Ability to travel up to 5% is required.
