Location/DivisionUnity Lab Services, a division of Thermo Fisher Scientific, offers integrated solutions, instrument, and enterprise services to our clientele. We prioritize customer satisfaction, advocate for Thermo Fisher Scientific, and are committed to driving growth within our organization. The ideal candidate should possess knowledge and understanding of isotope ratio mass spectrometry principles and applications. Products include Thermo Fisher IRMS instruments Delta V, MAT 253 Plus, and various peripheral instruments including EA Isolink, chromatography, continuous flow, and dual inlet applications.
Territory:
Up to 80% travel throughout the United States; the preferred candidate would reside in the Southeast, Northeast, or Mid-West regions and be within 1 hour of a major airport.

Field Service Technicians are responsible for all facets of field service support and customer relationship management, including but not limited to installations, repairs, preventative maintenance, and providing detailed reports to clients.
In our pursuit to exceed customer expectations, the team collaborates closely to coordinate supplies and share knowledge, providing technical expertise to clients, resulting in high-quality outcomes that ensure customer satisfaction.
A Day in the Life:
Conduct on-site installations, repairs, and preventative maintenance services.
Meet customer expectations through excellence in the repair and support of clients' products.
Maintain open communication with clients to ensure clarity regarding status, costs, and scheduling of service events.
Provide prompt and knowledgeable responses to all customer inquiries.
Must be adept in utilizing customer management software for service calls, managing parts inventories, and completing job tasks.
Review reports and documentation from clients and inspect malfunctioning products to determine the nature and scope of issues.
Regularly participate in factory-provided technical and service training on the latest products.
Ensure accurate completion of quality training, service reports, expense reports, company vehicle maintenance, and mileage reporting, along with other various administrative tasks.
Keys to Success:
Education
A BS degree in Physical Sciences, Engineering, Electronics, or a related field is required.
Experience
A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience operating analytical equipment, specifically mass spectrometry.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Must possess a valid driver's license.
Ability to travel up to 80% with overnight domestic travel.
Willingness to work overtime and/or outside regular business hours.
Physical requirements may involve lifting up to 50 pounds or more with assistance.
