Job Title: Controls Technician

**Job Summary**

As a Controls Technician at Synerfac, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our production processes. You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and optimization of our manufacturing control systems, including PLCs, HMIs, and other control systems used in tire manufacturing.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Install, program, and maintain PLCs, HMIs, and other control systems used in tire manufacturing
* Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules for control systems to prevent unexpected failures and ensure consistent functionality
* Participate in the installation, commissioning, and testing of new equipment, control systems, and automation technologies
* Stay current with industry trends and advancements in control systems, automation technologies, and industrial communication protocols
* Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols while performing control system maintenance and upgrades
* Manage SCADA type devices in an industrial based environment
* Perform scheduled maintenance programs

**Requirements**

* Associate's degree or higher in a related field preferred
* 5+ years of experience as a Controls Technician in a manufacturing or industrial setting
* Proficiency in PLC programming languages (Allen Bradley PLCs and other types of controllers)
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure
* Detail-oriented mindset and the ability to document processes and procedures accurately
* Flexibility to work varying shifts and respond to off-hours emergencies
