Job SummaryThe X-Ray Technologist is a trained medical professional responsible for performing radiological duties in compliance with regulatory and departmental requirements. This role involves performing radiographic exams, ordered by physicians, that are technically satisfactory, properly positioned, and processed adequately.
Essential Job Duties- Position patients under X-ray machines, adjust immobilization devices, and provide appropriate radiation protection.
- Perform a variety of patient care activities to assist physicians, including procedures, EKGs, phlebotomy, and injections.
- Prepare reports and maintain records of services rendered, including radiological film files and storage.
- Maintain supplies, equipment, and practice OSHA safety standards.
- Perform accurate, legal, and ethical documentation at all times.
- Graduate from an accredited program for Radiological Technology or Basic X-Ray Machine Operator required.
- Two (2) years X-ray Technologist experience in a corresponding setting is preferred.
- EMR system experience is preferred.
- Licensed and/or certified if required by state regulations.
