Wilmington Health is a multi-specialty medical practice committed to providing high-quality care to our patients. We are seeking a Patient Representative to join our team and support our Business Office Eligibility Center.
Job SummaryThe Patient Representative will provide front office support in clinical areas, ensuring a positive experience for our patients and healthcare team. This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
Key Responsibilities- Greets and acknowledges patients, providing closure to their needs in a professional and efficient manner.
- Maintains effective communication with the healthcare team, ensuring seamless coordination of patient care.
- Checks patients in and out, managing samples, notes, forms, scripts, and triage sheets.
- Schedules and coordinates patient appointments, including office, outpatient procedures, hospitals, and other medical facilities.
- Answers incoming calls and takes necessary action.
- Maintains provider schedules and on-call schedules for the department.
- Keeps logs as required by the Manager.
- Attends department and other meetings as required.
- Maintains inventory of office supplies and orders as needed.
- Opens and sorts mail.
- Directs patients to contact the Central Business Office for additional billing inquiries.
- Assists the Manager with other duties as deemed necessary.
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
- Preferred qualifications include experience in Medical Office Administration and BLS/CPR certification.
