This role is designed for a detail-oriented and proactive individual with excellent communication abilities and a strong ambition to advance a career in publishing. The position focuses on Subsidiary Rights and International Sales within our dynamic and collaborative sales team.
Role Responsibilities:
Subsidiary Rights Management
- Prepare and send foreign submissions, manage file transmissions, and oversee licensed edition approvals.
- Facilitate the licensing, production, and sales of audiobooks.
- Negotiate and finalize non-rights licenses.
- Input and track rights agreements in the IPM database.
- Log and distribute licensed editions to the editorial team.
- Assist in the preparation for book fairs, including orders and rights guides.
- Respond to inquiries received through the company’s rights email.
International Sales Support
- Coordinate with international, export, and Canadian representative teams, providing necessary materials and updates.
- Generate regular reports for representative groups on a weekly and monthly basis.
- Maintain internal databases to monitor sales activities.
- Prepare presentations for sales conferences and client meetings.
- Assist international marketing and publicity teams with required materials.
- Provide support to the International Sales Director on various projects.
Candidate Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Preferred: At least one year of experience in the publishing industry.
- Interest and knowledge in the international publishing sector is advantageous.
- Strong proficiency in Excel and familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite; comfortable working with databases.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and maintain accuracy.
- A positive demeanor, willingness to contribute, and a passion for literature.
