Electronics Assembly Machine Specialist

Reports to the SMT Lead and Production Manager.
This role is pivotal in the operation and management of Surface Mount Technology (SMT) machines. The operator is tasked with ensuring that circuit boards are assembled according to specified standards and work instructions. Collaboration with engineering and manufacturing teams is essential to guarantee that products adhere to high-quality benchmarks and are delivered punctually.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate SMT machines following established operating procedures.
- Conduct machine setup and maintenance in accordance with documented protocols.
- Prepare feeders for SMT pick and place machinery.
- Run SMT placement machines for efficient assembly.
- Manually place SMT components on stenciled circuit boards.
- Maintain a tidy and organized workspace.
- Set up and operate manual and MPM stencil printers.
- Communicate machine operational status to management as necessary.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Experience operating MyData and SMT Juki pick and place machines.
- Ability to interpret written English work instructions.
- Proficient in reading and writing English.
- Capability to stand for extended periods.
- Physical ability to lift containers and packages weighing a minimum of 25 lbs.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Must be a US citizen or resident.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with AOI and X-ray machinery.
- Experience in SMT machine operation within an electronics manufacturing context.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods while performing repetitive tasks.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Manual dexterity to assemble products or machinery as directed.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to distinguish between colored wires, tabs, and electronic components.
