Overview

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is seeking a board-certified psychiatrist to join our team as a Hospital Consultation-Liaison Psychiatrist in Seattle, Washington.

Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive psychiatric care to patients with complex medical and behavioral health needs in a hospital setting.
  • Collaborate with medical, surgical, emergency, and social work services to address the behavioral health needs of patients.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with delirium, mood, psychotic, anxiety, substance use, and somatic symptom disorders.
  • Work closely with patients under the Involuntary Treatment Act with Single Bed Certification.
  • Participate in the education of clinical teams about behavioral health care, including multiple residency programs.
Schedule/Call

The consult psychiatry team works weekdays, taking consults from 8-5. There are currently no overnight or weekend responsibilities for team members, as this is covered by an outside telepsychiatry service.

Qualifications
  • Board-certified psychiatrist with fellowship training and board certification in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry preferred.
  • Ability to obtain a medical professional license in the State of Washington.
  • Ability to obtain a DEA with full prescriptive authority needed for specific practice.
