Job Summary

CommonSpirit Health is seeking a skilled Psychiatrist Consultant to join our team in the role of Hospital-Based Mental Health Specialist. As a Consultation-Liaison Psychiatrist, you will work collaboratively with medical, surgical, emergency, and social work services to address the complex medical and behavioral health needs of patients receiving care at our hospital.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide care for patients experiencing delirium, mood, psychotic, anxiety, substance use, and somatic symptom disorders, and other conditions.
  • Work closely with patients in the hospital under Involuntary Treatment Act with Single Bed Certification.
  • Collaborate with physician and advanced practitioners, medical and surgical trainees, nurses, social work, and other health professionals in a team-based environment.
  • Participate in the education of clinical teams about behavioral health care, including multiple residency programs.

Requirements

  • Board Eligible/Board Certified Psychiatrist.
  • Fellowship training and Board Certification/Eligibility in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry is preferred.
  • Ability to obtain a medical professional license in the State of WA.
  • Ability to obtain a DEA license with full prescriptive authority needed for specific practice.

Compensation

$193.00 per hour.
