Job Summary

Ochsner Health is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Primary Care team. As a LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing vital signs, and documenting patient information.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs, and provide individualized care to meet those needs.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Current LPN licensure in the state of practice.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • IV therapy credentials (preferred).
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
Working Conditions

The LPN will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with frequent exposure to blood, body fluids, and other infectious materials. The incumbent must be able to lift, push, and pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds, and stand for long periods of time.
