Highway Safety Compliance Officer

Project Scope:
We are undertaking a significant initiative focused on the replacement of highway retaining structures. This endeavor will include scheduled winter shutdowns.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Task-Specific Safe Work Plans (SWP) and conduct Toolbox Talks
- Execute the Health and Safety Plan (HASP) effectively
- Ensure adherence to all relevant safety regulations
- Facilitate safety meetings and conduct incident investigations
- Exhibit strong organizational and communication capabilities
- Demonstrate independence, reliability, and accountability
- Utilize Microsoft Office applications proficiently
- Engage in company-wide systems for project management and communication
Qualifications:
- Experience in heavy highway construction, trenching, and excavation
- Familiarity with EPA Brownfield initiatives
- Completion of OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training
- Knowledge of personal and respiratory protective equipment protocols
- Certification in first aid and CPR
- Successful completion of an occupational physical examination
- OSHA Construction 30-hour card obtained within the last five years
