Job Overview

The Chief Administrative Officer will play a pivotal role in the strategic direction and operational management of Axess Family Services.

Position Type: Full-Time

WORK SCHEDULE: Primarily day shifts from Monday to Friday, with the flexibility to attend evening and weekend meetings as necessary. Availability for emergencies and oversight of agency programs is required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Lead the design, implementation, and management of administrative departments, including Facilities, Maintenance, and Information Technology.
  2. Establish both short-term and long-term organizational goals and objectives.
  3. Identify and implement operational enhancements and efficiencies across various departments.
  4. Formulate comprehensive business strategies and plans.
  5. Adopt best practices to streamline organizational processes.
  6. Delegate tasks and oversee leadership staff, providing mentorship and motivation to maximize performance.
  7. Manage the agency's financial health, investments, and other business initiatives.
  8. Evaluate challenging situations and propose solutions to foster agency growth.
  9. Represent the agency in public speaking engagements and public relations activities as directed by the Executive Director.
  10. Foster and maintain trust-based relationships with community stakeholders, business partners, and elected officials.
  11. Recognize performance, identify potential challenges, and collaboratively resolve issues with leadership staff and the Executive Director.
  12. Ensure compliance with agency policies, COA regulations, and federal and state requirements.
  13. Perform additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Demonstrated ability to collaborate and lead a diverse team of non-profit professionals.
  2. Exceptional organizational and leadership capabilities.
  3. Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  4. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  5. Proven experience in a senior leadership or managerial role.
  6. Ability to identify, recruit, train, and mentor leadership personnel.
  7. Valid driver's license and ability to meet agency driving requirements.
  8. Must pass a criminal background check as per agency standards.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: A Master's Degree in Business Administration or a related field is required.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A minimum of ten years of proven experience in a senior management role is essential.
