Job Overview

Position: Director of Administrative Services

Employment Type: Full-Time

WORK SCHEDULE: Primarily day shifts from Monday to Friday. Availability for evening and weekend meetings and events is required, along with 24/7 availability for emergencies and oversight of agency programs.

POSITION SUMMARY: Reporting directly to the Executive Director, the Director of Administrative Services is responsible for managing all operational functions, personnel, and programs within Axess Family Services.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Lead and manage the design, implementation, and operation of Administrative Departments, including Facilities Management, Maintenance, and Information Technology.
  2. Establish both short-term and long-term organizational goals and objectives.
  3. Identify and pursue opportunities for enhancing operational efficiency across various departments.
  4. Formulate business strategies and plans.
  5. Adopt best practices to streamline organizational processes.
  6. Delegate tasks and oversee the performance of leadership staff, providing guidance and motivation to achieve optimal results.
  7. Monitor the financial health of the agency, including investments and other business initiatives.
  8. Assess challenging situations and propose solutions to facilitate agency growth.
  9. Represent the agency in public speaking engagements and public relations activities as directed by the Executive Director.
  10. Foster and maintain trusting relationships with community stakeholders, business partners, and elected officials.
  11. Recognize and reward performance, address potential issues, and collaborate with leadership staff and the Executive Director to resolve challenges.
  12. Ensure compliance with agency policies, COA regulations, and federal and state requirements, as well as educational and certification standards.
  13. Perform additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Demonstrated ability to collaborate and lead a diverse team of non-profit professionals.
  2. Exceptional organizational and leadership capabilities.
  3. Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  4. Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills.
  5. Proven experience in a senior leadership or managerial role.
  6. Ability to identify, recruit, train, and mentor leadership personnel.
  7. Valid driver's license and ability to meet agency driving insurability requirements.
  8. Must pass a criminal background check as required by agency standards.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: A Master's Degree in Business Administration or a related field is required.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A minimum of ten years of demonstrated experience in a senior management position.
